Meet our Director of Photography, Drew Ganyer.

Drew Ganyer shooting from the set of Courage, New Hampshire.Inspired by some of the cinematic greats, such as Terrance Malick, Brian Taylor, Ron Ficke, and Mark Neveldine, Drew Ganyer is a prolific cinematographer who greatly enjoys observing light. He was formally trained at the Rochester Institute of Technology, where it was easy to spend every spare moment working as a cinematographer on student projects. Besides shooting Courage, New Hampshire, Drew has shot several features, including “The Ruffian.”

When did you know that you wanted to get into cinematography?

I knew that I wanted to get into cinematography when I was working on a reality TV show during the summer, before my senior year of high school. Continue Reading »

Courage, New Hampshire Production Blog #4: Meet Kathryn Gallagher and the Art Department

“Ambition” is currently in post-production. This episode, chapter 4 of a Courage, New Hampshire miniseries, (otherwise known as “season one”), promises to be a real thriller.

Before the end of filming, and as I promised, I had the chance to sit down and talk with Kathryn Gallagher, who is the art director for Courage.

One of the hardest working crews on the set is the art department.

Production Post #3~ Meet the Wardrobe Dept. of “Courage, New Hampshire.”

Whew! What a week. These past few days have been crazy. We finally have a little bit of a break from shooting.

With only two days left of filming Episode 4, I have my work cut out for me! I still have to get a lot of “behind-the-scenes” interviews for you guys!

In any case, please pardon my delay between posts.  As promised, I had time to sit and chat with Mary Johns who is the costumer for “Courage, New Hampshire.” She has her two sisters, Abby and Anna, who also work with her as assistant costumers. Continue Reading »
